The Tlowitsis Stewardship of the Dzawadi Eulachon

A documentary in partnership with the Tlowitsis Nation of Vancouver Island and the Department of Fisheries an Oceans, this film take a deep look into the history and cultural significant of this vital coastal resource, and what it means to the people who harvest it.

With changing conditions in the river systems of Knights Inlet and other critical Eulachon habitat, how can the DFO work with First Nations who have been stewards of these resources for thousands of years to protect this iconic West Coast food source and cultural cornerstone.
